THE BULK COMEBACK STORY

YOU DESERVE TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO BULK.

The product outages. The manufacturing problems. The lawsuit. And why we're still fighting to make your favorite jerky.

THE BIG NUMBER

OVER $860,000 PAID.

Acquisition-related payments to the Crouchers, according to BULK's court filing.

HOW WE GOT HERE.

  1. WE SAVED THEIR ASS.

According to BULK: “We purchased Country Butcher because they had no production facility and were kicked out of PRIME Mfg.”

  2. WE KEPT PAYING.

More than $860,000 in acquisition-related payments, including cash at closing, inventory and monthly installments.

  3. WE FOLLOWED THE ADVICE.

BULK says Ken recommended moving production from our facility in Johnson City, Texas, back to PRIME Manufacturing to handle a larger volume of business.

  4. PRODUCTION BROKE DOWN.

BULK says production problems began immediately after PRIME Manufacturing took over:

    1. Meat shortages. Portions of our meat deliveries were used for PRIME's own production, leaving us short.

    2. Poor communication. Getting clear, timely answers about production became a constant challenge.

    3. Beef quality. PRIME purchased Australian beef that we considered below our standards, but we were left having to sell it.

    4. Delays and higher costs. Using a packing plant in Idaho added logistical delays. Changes to the pricing structure made the arrangement no longer affordable.

  5. THE LAWSUIT BEGAN.

The Crouchers sued BULK and its founder. BULK disputes their allegations and has asserted its own counterclaims.

  6. THE COURT RESTRICTED OPERATIONS.

The court issued temporary injunctive relief. BULK says the resulting disruption significantly affected its manufacturing.

  7. WE'RE STILL HERE.

We're rebuilding inventory, restoring production and working to earn back your trust, one shipment at a time.

DON'T JUST TAKE OUR WORD FOR IT.

We're making the legal filings available so you can read what both sides have said and what the court ordered.
