Happy 2019!

We’re hoping Santa stuffed you a stocking of your heart’s fondest desire this holiday season. As we all shake off the holiday malaise and head back to work, we can’t help but feel the need to pass on some sage advice of things we learned in 2018 or are looking forward to in 2019. Whatever you’ve got going on this year, we hope that these tips will have you living life to its fullest, smiling more, paying kindness forward, and indulging your taste buds on a regular basis.

Tip #1: Show them how much you care with a large bag of marinated, smoked meat: Christmas might be over, but there’s a whole slew of birthdays, anniversaries, and graduations lurking just around the corner of the calendar. It’s easy to give someone dress socks or a gift card for that restaurant on the bypass that nobody likes, but when you gift someone a robust, mouth-watering package of their favorite flavor of beef jerky; well that’s how they know you love them. Whether it’s brisket for your boss, Texas style for your tax accountant, Classic for your cousin, or Midwest for your mother-in-law, I mean, she’s got to like something you do, right? - they’ll thank you the impromptu gift and put a gold star next to your name.

Tip #2 Spread Some Kindness: Here’s the big secret about being kind to other people; it’s unbelievably easy to do and will give you an inner glow that you might have forgotten about. Need some inspiration? Pay for the drink order of the person behind you in the drive-thru lane. Do the same thing next time you’re paying a toll. Next time you see a work crew out busting their butts in the sun, swing by the nearest gas station and buy them all a Gatorade. Volunteer one hour of your Saturday to the nearest hospital, library, or senior citizen facility. Instead of using your smartphone to calculate a waitress’s tip down to the penny, give her a $20.  

Tip #3 Come Visit the Tasting Room! You should never need a reason to come visit beautiful San Pedro, CA.
